Ravi at Conference

We were fortunate enough to have 2015/16 Rotary International President K.R. Ravindran join us at our national conference in Bournemouth in April, where he gave an inspiring and captivating speech in front of thousands of delegates about how Rotary and its members can be a gift to the world. You can relive his speech here

John Germ Facebook Q&A

This week, Rotarians will also have the opportunity to hear from this year’s Rotary International President, John Germ, who along with Vice President Jennifer Jones, will be taking part in a live Facebook Q&A session.

The session will take place on Thursday 11th August and will begin at 16:00 UK time. Rotarians can submit their questions and view the stream via Rotary International’s Facebook event page.

Aug-Sept Rotary magazine

Magazine

We are excited to share the latest edition of Rotary magazine, which is available to view online.

This issue takes a look at how Sarah Brown's charity, Theirworld, is creating a brighter future for children through education.

There is also an interview with Welsh superstar mezzo-soprano classical crossover singer Katherine Jenkins OBE, who you can see live in concert as part of the 2017 Rotary Conference.

You can also discover how Rotary is making a difference through numerous literacy projects including Dictionary4Life and Literacy In A Box.

Committee newsletters

Service news

The latest newsletters from the International and Community Service Committees are now available to view on the Rotary website (sign in required).

The International Committee give us an update on the Sand Dams project, which continues to receive incredible support from clubs across Great Britain and Ireland, as well as discussing what Rotarians can do in Tackling Modern Day Slavery.

The Community Committee newsletter discusses the Trussell Trust, REPoD (Rotarians Easing Problems of Dementia) and also introduces Silver Sunday, a project for clubs to get involved in which aims to combat isolation and loneliness among elderly people.
